Nick Jonas wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and his feet (quite literally) wet during his appearance on the season premiere of Running Wild With Bear Grylls. The episode which aired on Monday night showed the 23-year-old pop star bravely crossing a frozen lake - but not before stripping down to his boxer-briefs. Nick didn't hesitate before wading into the ice-cold water, and as they traversed the lake he yelled: 'We can do this. We got this. It's all us baby, let's go!' But after the singer and the adventurer were safely on the other side, Nick had a hard time warming up again
'That was something else. The adrenaline does kick in and for me the only instinct was to tell myself that I’m a champ, that I can do this, that life is awesome.' But Nick - who was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at the age of 13, grew concerned when he was unable to warm his feet up. 'I’m a touch concerned about my feet, he confessed. 'When you finally get out of the water, all of your feeling starts to come back to your body a bit, except for your fingers or your toes. And all you want to do is get them warm, and try not to panic.'
Nick added: 'Part of the deal with having diabetes is low circulation to your feet, so I had to make sure that I was keeping them warm, blood was flowing.' Fortunately Bear knew the perfect trick, and placed the Jealous hit-maker's feet into his armpits to help warm them up.
The 42-year-old cheekily told the camera: 'It’s the warmest part of the body. Well, second warmest but I wasn’t going to subject Nick to that after that ice swim. And Nick joked: 'I got to put my feet in his armpits – now they smell even worse than they already did.' Bear has several other celebrities lined up to take an adventure with him, and Julianne Hough will appear on next week's episode.
This season will also see appearances from Courteney Cox, Vanessa Hudgens, Shaquille O'Neal and Lindsey Vonn.
